Gibraltar’s annual fair is now open and will continue for a week until Sunday 28 August.
One of the most eagerly-awaited dates on the Gibraltarian social and cultural calendar – for both locals and tourists visiting the Rock at this time of the year – the event includes all the traditional fun activities of a classic fair.
Revellers can enjoy a wide range of rides for all age groups, side stalls, tombolas, games, charity fund-raising, and diverse eating and drinking options.
According to the ministry of culture, this year the fair includes “adaptations to ensure inclusivity and sensory-friendly conditions”. Throughout the week, from 7.00pm to 8.45pm, lights will be switched off and sound minimised.
Also available this year is an “Easy Access Pass”, which can be used at any time by people with reduced mobility. More information at the Gibraltar Cultural Services website.
