BA CityFlyer has responded to expectations that Gibraltar will be included on the UK’s “green light” list for summer holiday travel by bringing forward the start of its new service from London City Airport.
Flights are now scheduled to start on 11 June, two weeks earlier than previously announced, and tickets are on sale from today (Wednesday 5 May).
“This is excellent news,” said minister for business, tourism, transport and the port Vijay Daryanani, “and shows the confidence that airlines have in Gibraltar. These new services were welcomed at the time of announcement and now to hear that they are to start earlier is very encouraging.
“The Government’s efforts in attracting air services to Gibraltar and new airlines is unprecedented, as we look forward to a summer with more choices at Gibraltar International Airport than ever before.”
