Tourists visiting Gibraltar from this weekend will be able to enjoy over a week of fun-filled fair activities. The annual Gibraltar fair is scheduled to be inaugurated at 7pm on Saturday 19 August at the Admiral Rooke Site in Queensway and continue until Sunday 27 August.
Organised by the Self Determination for Gibraltar Group (SDGG) – assisted by Gibraltar Cultural Services, “to ensure its smooth-running” – the fair will include its customary diverse array of attractions and activities to entertain visitors of all ages.
According to the organisers, all rides will be priced at £3, and there will be games, tombolas and other stalls (including some set up to support local charities). Eating and drinking outlets within the fairground will include a “churros” stall and a “Family Pavilion” offering an extensive and varied daily entertainment program from 9pm.
Admission is free for the pavilion, which is run by Gibmedia Ltd and will once again include its popular outdoor seating area.
