The Christmas period has now officially begun in Gibraltar, with the “Festival of Lights” inaugurated last week and now locals and visitors able to enjoy a diverse program of fair attractions.
The lights will be switched on automatically every day until Friday 6 January (Three Kings Day) and, as is customary, they will remain lit-up throughout the nights of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and 5 January.
Meanwhile, the Christmas Fair opened today at its John Mackintosh Square base. The attractions will continue until Sunday 8 January, and be open from 12pm to 7pm every day. According to the organisers, all rides are priced at £3.
Tourists visiting Gibraltar for the Christmas celebrations will also have the opportunity of buying the first set of stamps in the world featuring His Majesty’s Royal Cypher.
