A special Gibraltar exhibition commemorating Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee will be inaugurated next week. The exhibition comprises four main sections: Heiress Presumptive, Accession & Coronation, Royal Tour & Gibraltar Visit, and Seventy Years of Reign.
Deputy chief minister Joseph Garcia, who is also minister with responsibility for the Gibraltar National Archives, is due to officially open the exhibition at the Gustavo Bacarisas Gallery on Monday. It has been curated by Anthony W Pitaluga, Gibraltar archivist and head of the archives.

Entry is free of charge, and on display will be 303 captioned images, on 202 A1 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) panels.
The exhibition will be open to the public (including tourists visiting Gibraltar) from Tuesday 7 June to Friday 22 July 2022. Opening hours are Monday to Friday: 7-13 June – 9am-4pm; 14 June-22 July – 8.30am-2pm.
Gibraltarians and visitors to the Rock have started celebrating the Platinum Jubilee at the Jubilita festival.
